Mandate:
Oversee and facilitate the establishment of functional local governments
Coordinate government policies and programs at the local level
Manage citizen registration through secure issuance of identity cards, birth certificates, and death certificates
Empower local governments to deliver efficient and timely services
Oversee refugee and internally displaced persons programs
Collaborate with traditional leaders to support peacebuilding initiatives
Promote community participation in peacebuilding efforts
Liaise with law enforcement agencies to address security challenges
