On December 20, 2023, the Minister of Interior, Local Governments, and Reconciliation of KGS, Mr. Abdullahi Haji Hassan, participated in the commemoration event marking the 5th anniversary of President H.E Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen’s election. The event, held in Bardaale City in the Bay region, saw the esteemed presence of Senator Abdiwali Mohamed Ibrahim Habsade, the regional governor Mr. Abdifatah Mohamed Ibrahim, former parliament minister Mr. Abdifatah Mohamed Ibrahim Geesey, the former Governor of Bay Region Mr. Ali Wardheere Doyow, alongside other dignitaries and officials.
